Identity
Simon Spitz. Event Horizon Design.
I am Simon Spitz, a freelance business analyst, digital project manager and website specialist based in Findhorn, Scotland. Event Horizon Design is the name of my freelance business. Clients work directly with me.
I have more than 20 years of experience across web development, digital project delivery, digital marketing and SEO. My technical background includes coding websites, programming, databases and server-side technologies.
For more about my background, see About Simon Spitz. My business contact details are in the site notice.
Work
What I do.
My main work is business analysis and digital project management, with a particular focus on websites. I help organisations define requirements, plan the work, coordinate the people involved and carry projects through to delivery.
Depending on the project, I also work on website design and CMS delivery, UX and content structure, digital marketing, SEO and AI search visibility. I use ChatGPT and Claude for research, analysis, content planning and repeatable work, while checking the results myself.
Social recruiting is a specialist service I offer with a business partner. It uses focused social media campaigns to help employers reach relevant potential candidates. It does not guarantee a hire.
See What I do and Social recruiting for details.
Selected work
Examples you can check.
Recent website and business systems work includes Cullerne House, MAC Hub and Cullerne Gardens. For these projects I worked on business analysis, website delivery and digital marketing, and evaluated, selected and implemented supporting systems. These include LemonBooking for MAC Hub and Ooooby for Cullerne Gardens.
I also work with schwarzdesign in Cologne as a Business Analyst and Project Manager on website and digital projects. This is a collaboration, not a claim that schwarzdesign is part of Event Horizon Design.
More examples and the scope of my contribution are on the selected work page.
